Knights of the Straight Table

Karl from Earth Crisis and someone named “Pauly Meltdown” strike a pose. Pic by Tru C Pray. EC are currently on a reunion tour. The Firestorm 7″ was a hell of a record, minus the fascist lyrics. And yes, Karl’s still vegan straight edge. What more can I say? Well, if this were a Vice Do (which it should be), maybe I’d add: Do be sxe until age 44 and wear demonic t-shirts that say xTYRANYx while posing with a knight in (semi) shining armor and some way too happy guy making an X with his arms. Make sure a bunch of cool swords and shields are in the background.

PS: The headline above is stolen from In My Eyes, a late 90s Boston hardcore band, who jokingly made up a the Knights of the Straight Table (see their song the K.O.S.T.).

ugh. Remember that time we all went to see EXC and not watch the Pats in the Super Bowl? Yeah, unfortunately I do too.

Luckily I’ve spent the last 8 years destroying my brain and have lost many memories and (thankfully) have no recollection of that—what year and where, and why did we make such a bad decision?

  3. Clevo Says:

it was the Pats vs Packers SB at the Rat. We (me and JLX) still lived at 38 at the time. You were still a young lad so it is excusable, but what was my excuse.

ray! posts like this are exactly why I need you in my life! who will fill this void for shared humor that I enjoyed so much circa 2001-03? I’m glad to see that we both have managed to remain undiluted and just as… brash?! eh crass? as we close out our twenties. also… maybe I’m wrong but I believe the rat was done before the pats made it to the superbowl? maybe I’m misinterperting clevo’s comment… nontheless.. by the time the pats made it to the SB it was 2002 and we were ALL invested, as far as I can figure.
