Saludos de Asbury Park

It’s not often you can get a passport made on a weekend at the Jersey Shore. So hundreds of Mexicans flocked Saturday, April 19, to this church basement in Asbury Park to get IDs made. Since Wednesday, more than a thousand Mexican citizens have taken advantage of the Consulate on Wheels program.

Mexicanos en Jersey! No es verdad. haha! bromeando justo, pero eso refresca realmente. (perdone mi escritura en espanol-it’s been awhile.)

No problema acerca de su escritura — yo no puedo entender inglés sin traductores de la web. Es por ello que las entrevistas son en Inglés!

Amazing. Does this happen a lot? Why Asbury Park, New Jersey?

  5. Rick Valenzuela Says:

It’s run out of the consulate in NYC, and they’re shooting for any major Mexican population on the outer edges of the metro. they did one in Bridgeport and I think one’s scheduled for Lakewood. A lot of people don’t have the documents, and thus zero ID at all, so it’s a no-questions-asked kinda thing.
