		<description>Not only is it from 2005, but it is not her agreeing with McCain to a long-term commitment in Iraq, it is her saying that casualty levels -and not time- are the barometer for public disapproval for (limited) wars.  That is 100% right on. I just read a RAND Corp study on the correlation between casualty levels and public approval after Vietnam.  If people stopped dying in Iraq, (on both sides), no one here would care if Americans stayed there, (Arabs might care though).  That HP article is going out on a limb to tie her policy in with McCains... Now, 3 years and a few thousand American deaths later, she -like Obama- is calling for immediate and unconditional withdrawal, (bad move in my opinion, [think Cambodia]).  McCain is calling for nothing of the sort.  Just because she understands how conflicts and public opinion work, doesn't mean she is a maniac like Mr. John "Send more troops to kill those Iranian Al Qeda Commies" McCain. That connection is bullshit.</description>
