Planet Mars, an LA based ‘lifestyle’ clothing boutique, approached us with an opportunity for a short-term lease on a raw retail space located in one of Southern California’s premier retail locations, The Irvine Spectrum.

With every day counting, we literally packed up a truck filled with as many recycled store displays we could get donated and as much clothing we could get on consignment and drove to Irvine, California. We invited Zoey & Alone One, two of the most experienced painters we knew to help us design the space. After the dust settled (about 35+ hours straight) we had created ‘X1’, named after a distant planet in our solar system. In it’s short time in orbit, X1 grossed over $50,000.
